Hi All,
I'm new to TFP this summer and I've been trying to bring back a 2 years neglected pool!
I have been doing the SLAM method for over 2 weeks, but honestly, I was working/away from home most days for 10 hours and was finding it hard to keep the chlorine up at shock level. I have been home for 4 days this holiday weekend and have been consistently checking, brushing, and cleaning the filters. It's still not holding shock level for long. I just tested CYA at 0! That's a problem! Added 7 lbs CYA using the sock method and I hope I see some improvement soon! I've been buying 10 jugs of bleach daily for 2 weeks now!
Before Slam:
PH: 7.5
FC: 0 (now ranging from 14.5-24)
CC: 0
CYA: 0 (adding 7 lbs)
Salt water Generator is currently OFF
60 minutes ago I tested at 19.5 ppm chlorine. Now at 21.5.
I have noticed a slight change since Friday. I can almost see the third step on the stairs!
I'm running out of patience and money!
Thank you for any advice you can give me!
Happy 4th everyone!

oops! Two of the same picture!
