We want an in ground pool but they are 23,000 for pool (16x32) filter ladder pump and installation. We would be in charge of electrical (we can do) and concrete around the pool (we would probably hire). We were pondering on doing it ourself. Are there any things that came up that cost extra $ or did u wish u knew before you started your diy in ground pool? Thanks in advance
Here is what was quoted
Galvanized steel wall (limited lifetime warranty)
Aluminum coping
20mil tile border print floor liner
1 hp Hayward pump & filter
Plumbing for pump and filter (next to pool)
Concrete collar around base of pool
Vaccume, test kit, startup chemicals
Normal excavation
Stone backfill of pool
Walk in step
Ladder
1 skimmer
1 pool light
And French drain
( This place I'm responsible for permit wiring of pump and bonding and water)
And they will machine grade the yard.
Just wondering what other costs may arise.
I think we can save $$ on doing it ourself but worried we could get in over our heads? But I think we can do it ?
