has anybody here ever use this:

or will this cause problems is by product like copper introduced....???
 
It's basically just an alcohol that will sit on the pool surface. When the water is still it will reduce evaporation and help maintain heat a bit. When water isn't still it won't do much of anything. It slowly will be broken down by chlorine (or it just evaporates slowly, honestly not sure which) and will require regular dosing to maintain.

Like a lot of pool chemicals it technically does what it says but not as well as it implies.
