Slope of new pool is not towards drains

I am in the middle of building a pool. After the gunite was shot we noticed that water is collecting in the shallow end. There is essentially a hump in the middle with the shallow end being slightly lower and the the deep end having the drains. The water collect in a large area, up to 2 inches deep before it would travel to the other side.

The PB does not seem to think this is an issue, but I have been reading otherwise. Last he said that this willbe fixed with plaster, but that just seems wrong.

1. Has anyone seen this and find it normal?
2. What is the proper fix for this situation?

Thank you,

Michael

Michael,

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all your new build questions... :shark:

Keep in mind that there are thousands of pools out there without an operating Main Drain.. They all work just fine. What you are seeing is just not an issue at all..

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.

This is no issue and it will not affect anything once the pool is full.

Thank you so much for the quick response. I am sorry that I am late myself, I travel for work and it's been one of those weeks.

Based on your response and the confirmation of those after you, I now really feel like this is one less thing to worry about. THANK YOU!

Michael

I will post one up soon. We have all the pictures as each phase was done, and the grotto was quite a challenge as the initial vision we had was quite different from what the PB was thinking. The rock crew spend quite a bit of time on it especially since it is build up on sides and had flagstone all around and on ceiling.
