I just added my bleach for slamming. I have an autocover that rests on the top of the water. I will have to close it while asleep overnight, and when no one is home (probably for a couple hours tomorrow morning), but other than that, do I need to keep the cover open or closed?

Keep the cover open as much as possible during a slam. The pool needs to outgass to get rid of CC.
