hello. I am in the middle of slamming. Just wanted to check to be sure I have things the way they need to be is just been overnight since my start. Free chlorine is now at 29. I have a cya of 80. Before I started pH for 7.4 combined chlorine was Zero alkalinity was at 90. Do I just keep maintaining the 29. And is that the FC that I should have? Thank you

Overnight maybe maybe not made any difference in the look of the green cannot see deep end at all pool is 21x42.26,000 gallon 8 ft deep end with a sand filter in one skimmer I have an extra pump running to circulate water that sits on the steps. The sand filter did not increase any pressure overnight.

Do I just keep maintaining the 29
Slam FC is 32 for 80 CYA. Maintain the 32 FC as often as it needs. At first it will probably dip quickly. Take advantage of the weekend and add back to 32 every 2 hours. As the process plays out the FC holds longer between doses. It'll tell you how it's doing.
Should I go ahead and brush and vacuum
Brush and vac at least once a day. Algae grows a biofilm to protect itself from harsh environments. Each swipe of the brush will expose a new layer. It may be many layers thick.

Only test FC from here on out unless you feel you've backwashed alot and the CYA dipped.

You got this.

Good morning. Did a test last night which it was at 60 PPM I'm sorry 30. Did a test at 7:30 this morning it is holding at 60. I am going to raise to get it back up to 32 and hold there. The pool is now all real milky but there seems to be no green even in the deep end. What is the next step? Thank you

Can you send me that chart again cuz my cya has dropped. And I need to know what to keep the FC at for now. And I should keep the FC at that stage according to cya on the chart until it is crystal clear?
