Liquid Chlorine can be found in the pool section of Walmart, or in Home Depot/Lowes. Also some pool stores sell bulk Liquid Chlorine often in larger carboy containers. Liquid Shock is another name for off-the-shelf liquid chlorine at pool stores. They range from 10-12%.
Also lastly, PLAIN, unscented, unthickened, non-Clorox brand bleach can be used if found. It just is harder to find the plainest of bleach. It tends to be only 6% so you have to use more to get the same effect.
The Kem-Tek 1 Gal. Pool-Care Chlorinating Liquid (2-Pack) is excellent for everyday maintenance chlorination for your swimming pool and can be used for super-chlorination as needed. It is a suitable alternative
