SLAMing a Vacation Home Pool (Weekends only)

So I am new the forum, but I now have the religion (and a good Kit). I am only at my pool on weekends (pm Friday-monday a.m.). I am slaming now, but not finished. How should I leave the pool for the week? Water is clear, but still consuming chlorine. I do have a tricolor feeder, but don't want to put more CYA in the water.

I assume I should just not do anything special (or stupid), like bumping the target SLAM FC from 16 to something much higher before I leave for the week. But just resume on Friday when I come back. The water is clear and likely near the end of the SLAM process. Last night's OFCT consumed about 3ppm. It was the first night I had the kit.

Welcome to TFP and glad to hear TFPC is serving you well! Good to have you here :)

Unfortunately I think you'll just slip back and forth between almost dead algae and growing algae. A couple of options I can think of:

Pre-measured jugs with a guess at how much daily chlorine is needed, and a friend/neighborhood kid/housesitter to dump it in each day.
A salt water chlorinator, or Stenner dosing pump, to maintain the level while you're away. (would help cover the normal 5-day absences as well)
Partial drain/refill to lower the CYA and give you headroom so pucks can get you through the week.
