SLAM without FAS-DPD test kit?

Hello all!

My pool is green and I have tried to get it clear for weeks with no success so I want to try this SLAM method but no where locally has the right kit. I really don't want to have to order online and have to wait a week to get started. Is there a way to do the SLAM without that kit or at least to get started to clean my green while I wait for a kit?

Umm. Math has never been my forte. What is 5ppm of 10,668 gal? I tried using online calculators but they were confusing too.

We have PoolMath to do it for you.

1/2 gallon of 10% gives you close to 5ppm.

Great! I was trying to figure out which Pool Math calculator to use. I finally came up with 1/2 gallon using a ppm to percentage calculator online. So at least I was on the right track. I'm learning. Thanks again!
