SLAM/shock not needed on saltwater pool?

A question/observation:
The outlet of my generator contains FC levels probably in the tens of thousands, which should be an insta kill for any bacteria.
I can actually see the chlorine going into the pool off the cells when it starts.
The water gets turned over continuously....maybe not in the 8 hours of runtime for my SWG but probably close.
I have observed CC levels of .5-1.5 in the evening before my normal run, and CC levels of 0 the follow morning after normal run.
I maintain my FC at approximately 2-4 with a CYA of around 40.

Is my reasoning flawed?

You're seeing hydrogen bubbles, not chlorine. The chlorine level inside the SWG cell is not tens of thousands of ppm, it's just a few ppm higher than the FC in the rest of the pool.

You should never be seeing CC levels of 1.5 ppm. That indicates a problem that needs taken care of.
