Is it correct that at 40 CYA my slam FC level should be 16 and hold until criteria has been met. I am not currently having a problem just want to get prepared if I ever do. Also on the pool math app when I slide the slam button over it says my slam level at 16 is to high.

With a CYA of 40, you are correct that your FC level should be 16. Don't forget to lower the pH to 7.2 first though.

Just keep your FC in line with your CYA and you should never have to SLAM. Also, keep an eye on your CYA creeping up with that chlorine feeder since each .5lb puck will raise your CYA by 5!
Hey Josh !! Just so you have easy access to it, here ya go. FC/CYA Levels. Keep in mind when maintaining your FC, the minimum is a cliff that you never want to look off. Stay on the solid side while the idiots go get their selfies hanging off it.
