Perseverance and patience is the key to the SLAM in my opinion. It worked. The algae is gone, the water back almost to 100% clarity. Hardest part has been getting the dead algae out without a vacuum.
Learned a lot, hope to avoid going through it again. Going to maintain SLAM FC level for an extra day or two before I start backing it off.
