Hey all, I had cloudy water and yellow buildup on pool walls and bottom of Home Pool so decided to do a SLAM. Suspected Mustard algae based in reading articles here so decided to take it up to Mustard Algae levels following the conventional SLAM per TF instructions. OCLT passed with flying colors (zero overnight loss at normal SLAM level) so proceeded to Mustard for 24 hours. After the 24 hour period, I decided to run another OCLT. FC was still at Mustard level. There WAS still a little daylight left (~1 hr) when I did my nighttime test but it was cloudy so I didn’t think I would have much drop since it didn’t drop at all in the preceding 1 hour. Retested in the AM and the loss was 4 ppm.
Now, the TF procedure for Mustard Algae SLAM says to maintain at Mustard levels for 24 hours following a standard SLAM, but does not say to check OCLT again. Question is, should I continue the Mustard SLAM for another 24 hours until I pass OCLT again since I did get this data point? Procedure does not say to do OCLT while at Mustard levels. Just hoping to get some clarity.
Thanks.
