I did the OCLT and lost exactly 1.0ppm of FC (I was also about 45 min after technical sunrise, but we didn’t have direct sunlight shining on the pool yet, FWIW).
The CC have ranged somewhere between 0.5 and 1.0 ppm for the past two days (like, it’s so close to being clear after one drop of R-0871 but still has the slightest pink hue, so a second drop completely clears it up).
I did skip a single day of brushing, because it had been a rough day. But, for the most part, I’ve brushed and vacuumed daily. We recently had storms though and have had a lot of leaves fall in the pool, plus we have been swarmed by cicadas and find tons of dead ones in the pool. I skim 1-3 times a day with the net, but it comes back so quickly, and I can never seem to get it ALL.
The water is crystal clear and has been for days now.
Do you think we still have algae, or do you think the leaves and cicadas are causing the FC loss and the minimal CC levels? Should I continue the SLAM or assume we are finished?
