SLAM 2nd day report

This is the 2nd day of SLAM.

CYA < 30ppm (I think it is about 20ppm).
FC dropped from 12ppm yesterday night to 8ppm early in the morning.
Kept pump running in medium speed overnight on "recirculation".
Water color is still light green with a little bit foam on the surface.

What I am gonna do are the following.
1. add chlorine to make it 12ppm. (good thing is today is cloudy with some rain, so I think no need to add more CYA.)
2. swtich to "filter" to run during the daytime.

Question. Is my step correct? From water colorwise, there is no big change from yesterday to today, am I missing anything here? Do I need to add in some Algaecide to get rid of the "green" faster?

thank you.

No Algaecide. Algaecide is a 'prevention', not a cure. We do not advocate the use of algaecide except in specific circumstances.

Add your chlorine. I would suggest adding 10 ppm worth of CYA. It is best to keep your CYA at 30 ppm or just above.

Be sure to check your FC every couple hours and and chlorine as needed to maintain FC of 12. Even if it is raining.
