Skimmers and jets.

Hey all!
Weird question. I’ve been watching leaves float right past the skimmer and not go in. Pump on high. It’s very powerful.
I have an AGP. Skimmer is about 20” I guess from the jet.
But my question is do yall have your jet pointed away from the skimmer so the water circles the pool and gets back to the skimmer after full circuit so to speak and get blasted around again or do yall have it jet “towards” the skimmer which would spiral the water in the opposite direction

If there is a jet near a skimmer then best to have that jet point down or opposite direction of the skimmer. It may be pushing debris past the skimmer now which is why you see it float by.
Also, skimmers work over time, not all debris is captured in the first pass.

It is going opposite and down some. I was just curious. After the water comes out of my jet it has to make a full circle to get to the skimmer.
I’ve had this pool since 2017. Was just thinking out loud.
