Hello there! We are new owners of an in-ground fiberglass saltwater pool (it was installed in 2014/we're not the original owners) and have been chasing leaks. A leak company came out and confirmed it's leaking from the skimmer and from a crack that formed on the pool steps (we think it must have been leaking for awhile/before we bought the home and that there is a lot of water around the pool now). We first had a few of the cracks in the skimmer we noticed epoxied and then the leak detector epoxied some, too, as well as the crack on the pool steps. He confirmed via a computer test that it stopped the leaking & that there were no leaks in the plumbing (yay!). 2 days later we are leaking again (which they said could happen since the epoxy was a temporary fix). They recommended replacing the skimmer and we also had a company say they could fiberglass the skimmer cracks (along with the crack in the pool). Has anyone done either of these options or have a recommendation between fiberglassing the cracks vs total replacement?

Pictures are attached of both when we noticed the cracks (when the basket is in it - those were epoxied first) and from the latest leak detection/epoxy fix.

Plastaid or PC11 will work, but you have to make sure to do it dry and the surface has to be clean.

Allow to dry overnight before getting it wet.
