Hello, I'm a first time home and pool owner. My entire pool surface is covered by really small particles and debris, they float right past my skimmer. I uploadead a video
- I have the pumps on high 3000rpm, but when my pumps run normally every day at 2400 rpm it's even worse - particles just go in the skimmer area and right back out. It's hard to see the debris on the video but there's alot. The skimmer feels useless. Theres a skimmer diverter below that basket, still don't know how that works but I don't think i've got the main drain hole covered, should I have that thing blocking the main drain hole so the skimmer has more suction? Should I install a weir door? Am I supposed to clean that manually? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help.

You must have weir doors for your skimmer to skim.
What model skimmer do you have?
