Skimmer faceplate faded

I have the same problem. I search on the forum and on google, it happened to many people with grey skimmer. Mine is from Hayward and only 1.5 year old. I notice it's only under the water line and only the part exposed to the sun. ( faceplate and bottom of the mouth )

Hard to battle the side effects of sun and chlorinated water. In addition, not all products are created equal. Even so, it's one of those things only you as the owner will notice as visitors will be having too much fin in the water.
