I have a 13,000 gallon saltwater pool with a new IntelliFlo/Pro3 VSF pump. One of the kids' toys got in the skimmer area and partially blocked the water flow. It did not run dry -- just slowed down the water flow and air got into the system.
When I returned home, I stopped the pump, cleared the problem, and then restarted the pump. The pump seems to be functioning normally -- sounds normal and water flow seems normal. Is there a way to tell if the pump is damaged?

As long as the pump didn't run dry and overheat you should be okay. Keep an eye out for unusual noises or leaks, but I suspect you dodged a bullet on this one. Enjoy this hot TX day.
