Signed this morning, new build in Humble, TX

Here is your link for new plaster! Just know the PB holds the warranty card!

Pool School - Start-up New Plaster

Now for the rest of the links (these and other can all be found under "table of contents")

Print these out:

Pool School - Basic Pool Care Schedule

Pool School - Recommended Levels

Book mark these:

Pool School - Recommended Pool Chemicals

Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart

http://www.troublefreepool.com/calc.html

This one will take some reading and rereading. It is THE link to the hows and whys of TFP:

Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry

Have you tested your fill water? Don't bother with the CYA test as that is something that has to be added and most fill water will not have it.

SO close to getting plastered!!

I love the pattern they did on it! That is a neat color!

Thanks Kim. The white stuff is the mold release powder. It will be cleaned off tomorrow. Getting plastered this Thursday and acid wash on Friday. Then fill! Concret stain and sealing will be the last step.

My dig started on January the 15th so we are making great progress. So pleased with my PB, no regrets paying more for this company.

That is going to look really nice! It's interesting the steps they take to get to the final finish on the concrete. I'm so glad you're happy with your builder. It's great to feel like your hard earned cash is well spent.

Make sure to really read the link I gave your about starting up new plaster.........check with your PB about his thoughts on it.

Most PB are not used to people knowing what to do. I hope you surprise him with all of your knowledge!

Ahhhh so I have one better then. IF they do not do it you can...............get an empty jug (milk, water bottle, sode bottle, etc.) to tie the hose to to allow it to float while the pool fills. BUT you will still need the cloth on the end to start with.

The hose needs to start right over the main drain to avoid streaking. Do not allow water to run down the empty plaster. It might cause streaking.

Yesterday they pressure and acid washed the Pebblesheen. Then the clean up crew got to work and got the yard back to where it was on day one. Very happy, no low spots or left over messes. Started filling at 9AM with three hoses. We are blessed with lots of water pressure so it was filled by 9:30PM. Got to play with the lights some last night . PB will be here in an hour to begin the start up. Yippy! Even got some rain early this morning to check out the decking drainage, all is good. Deck staining and sealing next week.
