siggy length issue

I'm having some trouble with adding info to the siggy. I want to add a link, but get the character count error. I do have some links in the siggy already. Even though the whole link isn't shown in the siggy, does the whole length count? I'm getting an error that says that I need to be under 800 characters. I did a character count and I count 349 characters with spaces. But I still get the "over 800" error. Does anyone have some advice?

Yes, everything in the signature is in the character count, even the "hidden" stuff with a link.

I've run into that, too. It won't let me change the color of my taglines. So I leave it alone.

I have noticed others have used tinyurl to reduce link lengths
