Should We Automate The Sundeck Bubblers?

Hi,

We just had our pool completed and we have a Hayward Omnilogic that we are able to use the app to turn on the lights, switch from pool mode to spa mode, and turn on and off the heater. However, the 2 bubblers in our Sundeck are controlled manually with the valves, so we have to turn them ourselves. We were under the assumption these would be automated too. When we asked the PB, he said they can but there will be an extra charge since. Additionally, with the automation the bubblers are either Totally ON or Totally OFF compared with the way there are now, we can adjust the flow by moving the valves as we wish. So our question is this…Should we automate and have the convenience of using the app but only be able to turn them On and Off, or do we keep as is manual and be able to have the option to increase or decrease the flow? Thanks

Going on the assumption that automated valves only accept 0% or 100% and not adjustable inbetween like a dimmable light bulb...
I would think that an automated valve could be added in-line that would handle the on/off automation.
The existing manual valves could remain, giving you control of the flow.

Interesting. I just sent the PB an email asking if that is possible. Thanks for the suggestion.
