Should I put a timer on my pool heater or only my pump?

I've purchased an Aube by Honeywell TI040 as a timer for my above-ground pool pump but I'm also connecting a natural gas heater.

Should the heater also be on a timer? (it's a Hayward 100k BTU heater, not sure on the exact model)

I'm separating the pump electrical circuit from the heater circuit because I've been told this is best practice (i.e. pump noise) so I would either need two timer boxes or one timer that handles two different circuits?

Thanks so much for the information. I researched a fireman's switch and it looks like the Aube timer doesn't support one.

Do the newer heaters (Hayward H100ID) require a timer? What happens if the pump timer shuts off the pump and the heater runs 24/7? Will it just shut-off automatically or should I still install some kind of shutoff/timer for it?
