Should I paint my CPC Valves?

I just added a FloVis flow meter/check valve inline with the output of my pool pump/filter/heater. It works really neat and tell how many gallons of water per minute I am cycling. No more guessing, and I also can make sure I don't exceed the GPM of 3-5 GPM per solar pool panel on the roof. Since I have 5 roof panels, I need to keep it around 25 GPM.

The body of the FloVis is black and made of CPVC. Should CPVC be painted like PVC? I can't find any reference on if it will break down from UV or not.
I would prefer not to paint it if i don't have to.

It does not need to be painted. In fact, it may not "chalk" over the years as pvc often does. That Flow Vis meter is a nice looking addition........I wouldn't paint it but you can if you don't like the looks.
