Shocked pool, water still a little cloudy.

We have used the Trouble Free Pool system without trouble for many years, using bleach in our in ground vinyl pool. Water temp is 24 C Ph 7.4 TA 70 CH 240. The CYA level is 40. This season, there was some green algae present when we arrived. Although I have shocked the pool, brushed it three times, hoovered thoroughly once, kept it turning for three days, cleaned the filters regularly, the water is much better but still a little cloudy. The FC level is still above the maximum level recommended by TFP. As we normally have no trouble, I am a bit confused. Any suggestions welcome. I am still using my FAS-DPD Profesional 7 kit, all in date.

What do you mean when you say you "shocked" the pool ? What did you use and at what free chlorine level did you take it, and for how long?
