This is our first summer with new pebble pool. Water is perfectly clear and no issues. My question is, we run the pool pump 24/7 and the Jandy try clear SWG also runs 24/7 at 70%. The FC stays 4.2. We use the pool every day with about 3-4 swimmers at a time. fC never drops below 3. Question is, is it bad to keep running the SWG this much or should I put it in standby mode for a few hours a day. I read that running the SWG too much can shorten its life and raise PH which is a daily occurrence. It rises from 7.6 to 8 each night. However I realize the new pebble finish is only 2 months old. I have been trying to balance manufacturers recommended levels and TFP recommendations as best I can but they don’t always agree (example TA and calcium level).

FC 4
PH 7.6
TA 100
CA 260
Salt 3000
CYA 30
CSI -0.10

The SWCG has no appreciable effect on your pH. That is your new plaster.

If your settings work no need to change. You are running a lower CYA than TFP recommends. Raising that to 60 or 70 ppm would reduce your daily FC needs.

Your SWCG is small for your pool volume. An Aquapure 1400 would be a better choice when the TruClear fails.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback and will be on lookout for new SWG when this one goes out. We weren’t given options by pool builder and assumed they would give us the correct size for the pool they were building 🤦‍♀️
