Sending 15v to Pentair LED too much?

The power going to the transformer is 125v and even on the 12v setting 15volts are being sent to the light. Is this too much for the light to function? we are still having problems getting this light to change colors properly. we even tried another light today and same problem.

That depends on how long the wire is. If the wire run if reasonably short, then yes that is too much. But if it wanders all the way around the pool that might be appropriate. There is always some voltage drop in the wire run, though not usually as much as 3v.

Thanks Jason the run is only like 4-5 ft. and we bypassed the junction box and went straight to the transformer.
