Seems like my robot is flaking off the pebble

Saltwater pool, 2.5 years old, I'm not great on adjusting the ph daily, I only adjust it about once a week and it's usually about 8.5 when I test it (estimation based on color). My calcium level have been really high for a year or so, was about 550 last year and up to about 950 this year. I have an autocover so it doesn't need much water and the tap water has a calcium level of about 100.

Seems like there is more and more Crud floating in my water, looks like small flakes of sediment, more and more over time. I tend to run the maytronics robot when I adjust the Ph and let it go for 2-3 cycles (6-9 hours) once a week. I've been noticing lately that there are a lot of scratches and pits on the bottom of my pool, the finish is definitely significantly degraded from when we got it. At first I thought it was chemical caused but I'm careful when I pour the acid and have the pump running at least for an hour on high after.

Anyway, I've been noticing a lot of what seems like a white chalky substance in the robot and I'm thinking that is coming from the pebble. Any ideas what this could be caused by? Could it be high PH, using too much acid at a time, the robot being rough, or the pool installer not doing a good job on the pebble (Adam's Pebble Plus)? Not sure what to do about it.

One pic below is the material in the robot basket after running for 6 hours, the other pic is what it looks like on my pavers when I wash it out of the robot basket. It's slightly gritty and there is a ton of it in the pool water that I can't seem to get out. I'm running the pump for 5 hours a day at 60 GPM and 4 hours at 30 GPM.

I think you have calcium flakes and the robot is picking this up. Grab a small amount and put a drop of MA on it. If it fizzes it's calcium and not pebble..By letting the PH get that high is causing the calcification.
