Seeking suggestions for in-line SWG for 14.5K AGP

We got our AGP two years ago, and the Saltron Retro over-the-edge SWG has died twice now -- thankfully the first time was under warranty. It was under-sized anyway, but did the job.

I think it would be best to go with a higher-output (but preferably adjustable) inline SWG, and would love some recommendations -- either specific brands/models; or ones to avoid; or guidelines in what factors to consider.

Second question: If I'm reasonably mechanical and comfortable with electric stuff, is this something that is feasible for me to install, or should I really be calling a professional to sell me the unit and install it for me too?

Many thanks!!

Nice to meet you via TFP :)

If it were mine, I'd go with a Circupool RJ45 because of the long warranty on self-install, and yep, it's pretty straightforward to put in. You can power it off the same timer you use for your pump. You can watch some youtube videos if you haven't done any PVC plumbing before, which is also pretty straightforward.

The mainstream and most often recommended brands include Hayward, Pentair and Jandy, and they're good as well.

If you go with Circupool, select the RJ30 and click upgrade to get the best price on the RJ45, at discountsaltpool.com

Have fun with the project!
