Hey all! We recently put in a pool with a "Coverstar Encapsulated Automatic Cover With Aluminum Lid" auto cover and are having problems with the lid blowing off. Attached is a picture of how the pool sits and the lid is across the end closest to the picture. The way our house/pool sits its a wind tunnel coming through there. After having the cover lift up/blow off a couple of times the pool company came out and put a latch on either end to hold it down. that seemed to work for awhile but over christmas we had some strong winds come through again, 50+ MPH gusts, and it actually broke one of the latches and blew off again. I now have some 70 lb sand bags sitting on it to keep it in place through winter, but looking for ideas on how i can better secure the lid so i don't have to keep moving sand bags onto it every time its windy.

Thanks!

Come spring invest in two large ceramic pots that you'll fill with potting soil and gorgeous flowers and one at each corner of the lid.
Remember the rule for flowers in pots: Thriller in the middle, a filler all around that, and something the spills put all around the edge.
On the odd occasion that you need to get into the box, just get someone strong to pull them away and then back on.
