Have a new Pentair equipment setup and SL2 install. SL2 air temperature is consistently incorrect. After calibrating in Screen Connect, it will appear correct for a few minutes before regressing back to an incorrect reading. How to fix this?

If using a Pentair heat pump, should the water sensor connect to WATER or SOLAR on the EasyTouch board?

The sensor is probably placed in a bad spot. It should be able to equalize with the air temperature.

If it's in the sun, or in a hot box, it won't be correct.

Or it might be a bad temperature sensor.

The water sensor should connect to the water connection.

Is this what they look like? One looks to be inserted into the plumbing for water temp. Water is pretty accurate. Are these two others? I only have a pool. No spa.

I don't know why you have 2?

They aren't positioned well. They will pick up heat from the brick and the sun.

They need to be shaded but well ventilated and away from heat sources.

My ET air temp sensor was positioned badly, and had wild fluctuations until I moved it to a constantly shady spot away from other heat sources. Now it works great and my SL2 air temp history graph shows a nice smooth transition from morning to night, and is super accurate.

Thanks Gary. I'll have to play around with this. Mine is underneath my ET4 box on constantly shaded side of house near equipment pad. Also have a personal weather station in the yard (full sun) that measures air temp and humidity, etc. The SL2 air temp sensor is constantly reporting -4F from the PWS now which would seem more accurate.
