Screen Cap Air Bleeder

I thought I’d write to possibly help others that may encounter a similar problem. My pool pump would run anywhere from a half an hour to an hour before the water flow would decrease to nothing. I checked the baskets both in the pump and the skimmer and they were not full with debris. I’ve then took the canister filter apart and noticed that the screen cap was concaved and collecting all matter of debris, which would gradually slow down the water flow being pumped through the system. Why it just didn’t go through the filter cartridges I’m not sure. When I replaced this the system ran perfectly. Hopefully this helps somebody else.
