sand filter sand help.

my local sand and gravel pit sell this sand is it the right stuff??? I thought it was worth a look as it's a lot cheaper than online. thanks Nathan

I got mine at Menards for $6 a bag.... Only needed 1.5

Filter sand has to be of a specific size, #20 silica. Too course and it won't filter properly, and too fine and it will slip through your laterals and get into your pool. I have no idea how the sand you posted is sized compared to #20.
