Sand filter replacement

Hello everyone, I am planning to replace an old PacFab 26" Meteor sand filter. My pool is a 33,000 gallon capacity pool. I am considering a new Pentair sand filter and am looking at either the Sand Dollar or the Tagelus model. Is there much difference between the two? Your thoughts on Pentair and/or the two models will be appreciated. Thank you.

Well I have a old tagelus. Used it two seasons and I can't compare it to anything else but I can't see anything wrong with it.

You should get some replies over time there are more pentair filters on here.

Any reason you aren't considering a Hayward Pro series? Parts seem more generally available, as necessary.
