Sand Filter Questions

I have a 16” sand filter and I am confused on how much sand to add to it, online it says 100 pounds and on the filter it says 75 pounds, my problem is my pool is getting cloudy and I’ve seen online that no enough sand can cause this. Should I add the additional 25 pounds to my 75 that’s in the filter?

Regardless of the weight, the filter should be about 2/3 full of sand. 1/2 full is not enough and 3/4 full is likely too much.

Chances are, that is not causing your cloudiness. If you can post a full set of test results, we can almost surely help you get crystal clear.

I will post test results also I have another question my psi was 10 when I put my new sand in and then we got a huge rain storm and water levels got high the psi dropped to around 3 I drained out the extra water but the psi is still low any suggestions

A couple suggestions:
1 - Update your signature with all of your pool and equipment info. See our signatures as examples. It will help with each question.
2 - Check your poolside skimmer and pump basket for any obstructions following the storm.

The water level shouldn't have anything to do with the filter pressure. Maybe the storm blew a lot of debris into your pool and it filled up the skimmer baskets?

Here are my test resultsthe other results are as follows:
Water hardiness is 250 ppm
Stabilizer is 20 ppm
