My Sand Filter (240V, 800 gal. pump water flow rate, 600 gal) stops working when it's been turned off for more than a day.
This has happened once before and it started working again after I dismantled it and pushed the motor round which seemed to kick start it.
It's been working fine for a few weeks but turned it off for a day and it nothing happens again.
Anyone have any ideas please?

When a motor fails to start consistently it could be a variety of reasons. It would help to know more about the specific motor. Please post some pics of the motor and any labels on the motor exterior. If there are any signs of rust or water leaks, post those as well. We'll do what we can to help.
