Have a Pro Logic system: accidentally added too much salt. Drained some water out and is at good level now after having water tested at pool store.

Problem is Pro Logic still shows 0000 and blinking “check system.” Have gone to menu into Diagnostic to get new salt level reading but also stating 0000 there too.

Lookimg for help and information, I saw that the pump should be turned off when actually adding salt. Unfortunately the pump was running.

Do I need to clean the salt cell? Need help to figure out why I am not getting any salt reading whatsoever now….help!

Welcome to TFP.

Have you power cycled the ProLogic panel?

What are all the diagnostic readings? Volts, amps, etc.

Do not clean the cell. You will only reduce its life.

I have not power cycled the pro Logic panel. Not sure how to do that.

What exactly do you mean when saying “power cycled”?

Turned off breaker for 10 minutes and that didn’t fix it.

Remote display and Pro Logic unit still shows Salt Level 0000 PPM in Diagnostic update test mode..

But T5 Calibration Locked now shows on Menu, along with Settings,Timers,Diagnostic, configuration Menu-Locked. I don’t recall seeing T5 Calibration appear regularly on the Menu until now. Could this be causing the issue?

Installed new salt cell and reading salt level perfectly.

However getting "check system csm comm error". I remember unlocking config and did look at something like chem wizard. I may have accidentally changed a setting. Is there standard setting that I should have?

(By the way I made sure the CSM cable is hooked up correctly. I never got this error message until after I unlocked config.)

Do you have the Sense and Dispense System?

If not the Chemistry Sensing Monitor should be disabled in the Configuration.

First...THANK YOU so much for your help! You have no idea how much it is appreciated!

How don't think I have the Sense and Dispense System and am turning that off as I think I may have turned that on, which obviously created this problem.

I believe I'm all set. Appreciate this web-site....you are a big help!

I just made bronze contribution because I greatly appreciate for your time and expertise!!!
