Salt level is low at around 2400 ppm

My salt is running low. I have a separate salt test so I don't rely on the ic40 readings. Anyway - current pool temp is around 52 and will just get colder from here. Should I just wait to add salt in the spring since no chlorine will be generated by swg or should I bring it up to optimal levels now?

No reason to add salt now.

Wait till your water gets warmer and your SWG operates.

If the salt’s only a little low and the SWG isn’t working right now, you can wait until spring. Just keep checking the salt level so you’re ready when it warms up.
