Salt Water Pools advice needed:
We replaced our salt cell last summer with an
“E-cowlboy Replacement for Zodiac R0503000 Nature2 Fusion Soft 1400 Cell Replacement Kit -for Up to 40,000 Gallon Pools” and it worked fine. As the temps started to get warmer the last few weeks I noticed it the production was at 0.0%. I’d adjust it to 25% and it kept resetting back to 0%. I started getting codes 121, 125 & 194 so we replaced the power cord. It appeared to work for 2 days and starting giving me the same three codes. The cell had been cleaned numerous times. I was able to get the cell replced through warranty (same brand) and changed it out Friday. It showed to be producing chlorine Friday and Saturday. I just went and checked and the chlorine production is back to 0% with no codes and we have made no changes. Any ideas why my system keeps changing to 0% chlorine production?

We have a Jandy/NatureSoft/Aquapure system.

Welcome to trying to use non-OEM cells. They often cause flaky problems.

My advice is return the cell for a refund and pony up for a genuine Jandy cell.

Do you still have the old cell?

You sure your old cell was a 1400 and not a 700?

Yes, I am sure it is the 1400. The replacement came in and it worked again then stopped and went back to zero. We have a new code of 170 now. We ordered a Zodiac Jandy brand Salt Cell Flow & Salinity Sensor that should be here Wednesday. What is they typical lifespan on the sensor? It was warranted out at 2 yr 8 months old and we are exactly 2 yrs later replacing it again.
