My Halochlor recommends a CYA level of 20ppm, which includes integrated ORP and PH sensors...with an initial starting point of 700 for the ORP. They are targeting a FC level of between 1 and 3ppm using this approach. Troublefree pool recommends around 50ppm for CYA, obviously with a correspondingly higher FC level as well.
So, whats the latest suggestion with this type of combination? My pool suffers historically from poor circulation with a couple of dead spots so I've tended to run CYA around 50ppm and FC around 6 which has worked pretty well. (Although I've just completed a successful SLAM for the last week with a good OCLT due to some algae)
Happy to stick with the TFP suggestions if this isn't going to mess up the ORP/PH readings etc and still look to do regular tests using my Taylor 2006.
