Salt 4800. 300 over max. Concerned?

I am unsure what happened but it is irrelevant at this point salt is 300 over max can I use the next month of top offs to get it down? I just got my TA down and added borates levels are great except for the salt

How did you measure that salinity?
The iChlor will shut down if the salinity is too high.

The salinity won't increase 800 ppm by itself.

The temperature sensor in the iChlor is probably bad.

I use a Taylor kit to test. My iChlor 15 is not indicating high salt. It is reading 4250. My salt is good light is green. It is indicating it is producing chlorine (the icon is circling). Cell light is green. Flow light is green. I do not rely on anything but my Taylor test kit for levels. I double check my salt against my salt cell but add based on Taylor. I must have miss weighed or miss calculated. We fill our pool with city water that is softened here at the house. The salinity of it is less than 200. It turned brick red on first drop. I looked and My R0630 chromate indicator is 6 months out of date. Test kit stored in the house all year long. My thermometer reads 90 degrees as does my salt cell.
