After three years of good-but-not-great filtering, I finally changed out the Zeo for Mystic White. My biggest problem with Zeo was the red/brown sediment patches that just would not go away; no matter how much brushing or vacuuming I did, they always came back in a day or so. I also found the inconsistent filter pressure between backwashes a bit disconcerting. It could fluctuate 4-5psi up or down one day to the next.

The other major problem I had with Zeo has carried over to the Mystic White: I still can't backwash on high speed without losing media at an alarming rate, but at least low speed seems to work well enough. Guess it's something I'll just have to live with.
