Anyone have luck with gluing pieces of vinyl over the sagging edges of a droopy liner? Ours is too far gone to fix. We are looking at having our concrete deck redone and have been advised that needs fo be done before a new liner is put in. I’m hoping to just “make it work” this season and replace in the fall.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance

Welcome to TFP.

Posting pics of the problem area will let folks comment on if there is a fix to give you another year of liner life.

I was the king of redneck pools for 4 seasons when I bought my home the pool had not been opened in 7 years and when we took the cover off both corners in the shallow end had sagged down to the floor and both corners of the deep end were sagged down about 4 feet down and 8 feet across. My kids loved the pool but I didn't have enough money to do a liner until this year. The water was already down below the sag so I cut the entire sag area out in a nice rectangle. Then I placed painter plastic sheets, from Home Depot, behind the cut out section and then used flex seal tape around the edges and flex seal tape to attach the plastic to the coping. It worked and I was able to fill the pool up and it held water for the last 4 summers. It looked like Crud but for about $400 in material I was able to save the liner and squeeze another 4 summers out of it before doing a new liner this year.

Let me add this is a nuclear option. My pool was blown out anyway so I had nothing to lose. If the repair did not hold I was just going to put the cover on it until I could save up for a new liner. Also the job took 4 people to do. Two people holding everything in place, one person cutting off the correct length of flex seal tape, and one person taping. Flex seal comes with a backing if you use it just start to take off the backing and roll it into place. If you remove the whole backing as soon as it touches something it is stuck or if it twists onto itself just throw that piece away and start a new one. Make sure whatever the tape is going on is clean first I used mineral spirits to clean off around the cut before application.
