S400 Stops and Starts in Reverse/Interchangeable Power Supplies

S400, a couple years old. When I put it on a cycle, it stops and starts when going in reverse and then gets pinned against the wall. It will go like 3 or 4 inches and then stop, then start up again. Once it comes to a wall, it will get stuck and won't reverse direction or climb. Going forward, there are no issues. Additionally, when operating manually in reverse it doesn't have an issue. Moves until I stop it. I am thinking, maybe treads, which I have never replaced, or maybe a drive wheel. Any insights into what I might try to repair would be appreciated.

Also, does anyone know if power supplies are interchangeable? My power supply has wifi, driver control, etc. If I got a Nautilus CC, would I be able to use the power supply from my S400 to maintain the wifi and scheduling?

I have an S400. When it does what you described, I check the fan blades which is always filled with pin needles or palm hair. The poor design makes it hard to remove debris from the fan blade. If your fan blade is clear, I think some other components are/is out. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of components in these robots to make them work.

It seems to be a track issue. I pulled it out this morning and put it upside down and the track was clunking/slipping on the one side. I pulled it off and then reset it and it looked to operate as normal. Perhaps it was hitting that slipping point and didn't have enough torque/speed to move forward which caused the stopping. Could also explain when it came up against a wall there wasn't enough force for the gyroscope or whatever, to make it realize it needed to turn around. Still doesn't explain the normal operation under manual control.

I ordered new tracks and brushes and will replace them and hope that tightens things up.
