When I was removing the valve, the upper and lower valve body connection snapped off and now they won’t stay together. Is this a problem or can it just hold together when placed on the stand pipe?

Is that the lower half of the MPV we see in the pic still attached to the filter body? The top part separated?
Yes they are disconnected at the moment, waiting for the glue to dry and will connect with the screw. I don’t have any faith in the glue.
