S.R. Smith Big Dipper slide, please help

Ok so we just purchased a house with an inground pool from the 70s. We have the concrete pool deck replaced because it had heaved so much in some areas it was unsafe. The previous owners had a S.R. Smith Big Dipper slide installed several years ago that had to be removed from the deck in order to lay the new concrete. I am in the process of putting it back up and now I have a ton of questions. I know of at least one piece missing and possibly more. There is a rubber cap (diaphragm maybe???) missing from the top of the slide. I've tried to research as much as I can but it's not getting very far since the manufacturer stopped making them several years ago the cs agent didn't even know what I was talking about. Does/has anyone have/had one? Know how they work? Know if/where I could track down parts if necessary? Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I got some of my information from INYOPools so they were almost more helpful than the manufacturer. I've been battling with S.R. Smith for the last two days and dealing with their customer service people and all the way up to the VP of sales has really turned me off of the company as a whole. Which sucks because they are one of essentially 2 major manufacturers when it comes to slides, diving boards, etc. However, apparently they stopped manufacturing the Big Dipper slide in or around 2008/9. They said there were some safety concerns with the slide that caused it. They completely refused to give me any information on it. They essentially said they had it but didn't want to give it to me.

I was hoping someone on here had experience with the slide and could tell me the good/bad and maybe could provide the install manual.

Thanks in advance.

Did you happen to get an installation manual? We are going thru the same issues. The slide is now old, but it is still in good shape and can't figure out how to get it put back on the concrete. Thanks so much for any help.

I realize this is a couple years old. We just purchased this slide used. I would be able to take a picture of your missing piece. Have any install tips for us? Thanks!
