Rust?? On Split Face Stone

I noticed two spots near each other on my splitface stone that appeared to have rust(not sure that’s what it was) leaching through and dripping down the tile. Dried water marks were there. You can see the discoloration on the stone and grout. This is after I scrubbed it as it was much more noticeable before. Any ideas what this could be?

Try rubbing a Vitamin C tablet on that stain. Get it wet if you need to and make it like paste. If it's iron, the Vitamin C should take it right off. If iron is confirmed, then you may have some rebar or wire somewhere behind the stone that is getting wet and (rust) leaching through.

Thanks. I’ll try that. I was able to scrub it and take quite a bit off. It was a much darker orange before I started

Do you just use a Vitamin C tablet like you get in the vitamin section of the grocery store? Or is there somewhere to buy a bigger tablet?

Thanks. After doing some research I think me spraying acid mixture on the waterline tile near these stones(over spray on them) may have caused the issue as some new spots are popping up.
