Rope Lighting

Thinking about putting LED rope lighting on top of the fence surrounding my pool. Then connect the circuit to a SunTouch controller using an Aux relay. The wiring is no problem.

Finding 120V LED rope lighting is the problem. Almost purchased all the accessories (2-150ft spools of lights, connectors, power supply, etc.) and noticed an $80+ shipping charge on checkout (online purchase).

Anyone know of any sources for LED rope lights with free or reasonable shipping?

Thanks.

Now that is pretty cool looking! If I can get my wife to go for something like that... She's always got to be conservative...plain boring white lights.... So how waterproof are these? Have you tried them outside?

I have IP67 under my eaves and have had no issue with them.. The type of those are IP68, so you can submerge them under water up to 3 meters forever :) I have them but have not yet put them up, still waiting on my pool build...

here are video's of the IP67 LED's under my eaves, they are washing the brick pointing down and the Christmas tree on the left...

hope you like Christmas

Ok, so maybe I am an LED Super Freak :)

PS: they will do solid white, blue, green, pink and 3 others, they are directional though, about 170 degrees angle, rope lights are 360...

That is very cool. So did you buy all your lights from the links you listed in previous post? What I'd like to do is put a couple of strips under the edge of the capstone along the back retaining wall on my pool. My only concerns would be how they weather and a way to attach to the stone that would not look bad and still be removable if need be.

I did buy 40 meters of those lights in the link, they are very nice lights and we'll made... I have not had a chance to light them up yet but they should be fine... You could place them with epoxy, you would be able to chip them off if you ever needed to replace them.. You would need a way to keep them on the rock while the epoxy was setting, some kind of clamp or something
