Rock dropped in skimmer is stuck near pump

Hi,

I have 1 biological daughter and 3 adopted daughters all under 8 years of age. Some how a rock made it's way into my skimmer and was sucked towards the pump. the pipes leading to the pump are larger than the pump opening, and the rock is stuck just before entering the pump basket. Any ideas how I can extract that without destroying anything? Any advice would be appreciated.

I think the easiest solution is going to be to cut the pipe, remove the Rock, and use a coupler to put the pipes back together.

So you can actually see the rock? Can you add a picture?

I second Jblizzle's advice. If you don't have any unions before the pump this is the perfect opportunity to add one. If you can post a picture of the pool pad we can advise you a little better.
